Week 16

Even though this is week 19, I am finally writing my lesson for Week 16. I will admit that I went back to my bad procrastination habit but I am fighting my way back into the swing of this wonderful training that Mark and the Fabulous Davene is giving me and the rest of this great team of this Mater Key Master Mind Alliance (MKMMA).

On the Week 16 webinar, Mark shared an email he and Davene had received from Ken Stults which expresses how much Ken has grown in the last 100 days (week 16 x 7 = 102). I also feel that I have grown but not to the extent that Ken has as I don’t feel that I am more gentler or kinder and my business is not growing as quickly as Ken’s is. I am a little envious of Ken’s growth but must stop this negative envy as I must stay in the positive. I am starting to realize that maybe I did not apply myself as much as Ken has.

Wooden mentions that you have to be industrious in order to be successful. But how industrious is industrious. How do we know when we have done enough? Have I let myself down by not being more industrious? Am I a work alcoholic or am I working on the wrong stuff? But like Ken, I feel if I am not doing it right … then what?

Week 15

In Week 14 post, I wrote about a great book called “The Speed of Trust, the One Thing that Changes Everything” by Stephen M.R. Covey.  This Week, one of my mentors, Richard Dennis who is a partner with another of my mentors, Michael Dlouhy, who wrote a very informative book about Network Marketing called “Success In 10 Steps” (which can be downloaded from: http://DareSomethingWorthy.SuccessIn10Steps.com), mentioned that I should read called “Leader of the Future” by Peter Drucker.  I check our Arlington Heights Memorial Library to see if it was there and sure enough, there it was.  My fiancée, Gayle Kopels, drove over to the library and could not find this book but checkout another of Peter F. Drucker’s books called “Classic Drucker”. In this book the author writes that the 21st Century will be a knowledge based century. He speaks about people being specialists in different fields. In the Master Key Master Mind Alliance seminar, Mark and Davene are constantly teaching us knowledge about Personal Development, Becoming a Professional Network Marketer and also showing us many tips about technology.  My mentor, Michael Dlouhy, was mentored by Tom “Big Al” Schreiter who is also Mark Januszewski’s mentor has said, just like Mark says, we all can become Professional Network Marketers by learning skills.  One of my fellow students, Henry Vigeant, also realizes that and uses an online handle of “Mr. Skills”.  So, in order to make money in this beautiful industry of Network Marketing, it is mandatory that you learn and apply skills.

Week 14

Last week, I finished reading a great book called “The Speed of Trust, the One Thing that Changes Everything” by Stephen M.R. Covey who is the son of Stephen R. Covey, the renowned author of two excellent books “The Seven Habits of Highly Successful People”  and “The 8th Habit”.  This book showed me that trust is a very important virtue in business and in life.

Covey talks about the 4 cores of credibility, namely,

  1. Integrity
  2. Intent
  3. Capabilities
  4. Results

He also stresses that we should incorporate into our lives the following 13 behaviors, namely,

  1. Talk Straight
  2. Demonstrate Respect
  3. Create Transparency
  4. Right Wrongs
  5. Show Loyalty
  6. Deliver Results
  7. Get Better
  8. Confront Reality
  9. Clarify Expectations
  10. Practice Accountability
  11. Listen First
  12. Keep Commitments
  13. Extend Trust

This book works on the roots, its deep, practical and comprehensive, and also inspires hope.  The Master Key Master Mind Alliance (MKMMA) is helping me to read more because for things to get better, I must get better, and reading great books is doing that for me.

Week 13

Week 13 should be a superstitious week, but no more, as I have now removed superstition from me because it is a negative emotion. How could the week of Christmas be negative? This week is completely filled with LOVE; the LOVE of buying presents for your LOVED ones, the LOVING anticipation of seeing the expressions on their faces when they open the presents. This Christmas was better this year as I am very much at peace with myself because the MKMMA has helped me find the direction that my live is becoming. I never realized that thinking of only the positive emotions and never the negative emotions, could bring me everything that my heart desires. Getting ready for the New Year!!!

Wishing all the members of the Master Key Master Mind Alliance (MKMMA) a very Merry Christmas and a Healthy and Happy New Year.

Week 12

This has been a very challenging week as I always thought I was a very technical person.  I subscribed and signed up to an Aweber email autoresponder account and tried to set up this account.  I was moving along pretty well and got to 75% completion and did not understand how to proceed any further.  Got confused with all the different terms: (1) My Account, (2) My Apps, (3) My Lists, (4) Messages, (5) Subscribers, (6) Web Forms and (7) Reports.  They what me to add a link to my website but I have not setup my website as a do not know how to code in the HTML language.

Week 11

It was like putting a dagger into my heart when I could not get on the MKMMA weekly training last week as both my Comcast cable and AT&T DSL Internet connections were both down at the same time.  What do you think the odds of that happening would be?  But since all the training is recorded, I did not miss anything except my promise of not missing a training was broken but still that was out of my control.

Mark told us all the great news that since we are doing our assignments, we have been doing the 4 steps required to change our dreams to their monetary equivalent.  These 4 steps are actually habits and they are the following:

(1)  A definite purpose backed by a burning desire for its fulfillment.

(2)  A definite plan, expredded in continuous action.

(3)  A mind closed tightlyagainst all negative and discouraging influences, including negative suggestions of  relatives, friends and acquaintances.

(4)  Friendly alliance with one or more persons who will encourage one to follow through with both plan and purpose.

This information is life changing and is showing me that all the work which I have done in the last 10 weeks is now coming to fruition even though at one time I had my doubts.

Hoping that all my fellow MKMMA members are feeling the same aura as I am feeling.

Thanks Mark & Davene for this wonderful once in a lifetime training.

Week 10

At this point in my Master Key Master Mind Alliance training, I have been trying to keep negative thoughts from entering my mind for a whole week.  So far, I cannot go an entire day without having some sort of negative thought.  But this exercise is getting me to constantly be thinking of what thoughts that I am thinking about.  When I think a negative thought, I am eradicating it from my mind by thinking of God or a pleasant thought.  In the upcoming weeks, I will continue with this exercise as by doing so I will eventually keep negative thoughts from my mind.
